Welcome to the RS3 FAQs
All the documents written by me during the project time are included in here. These may or may not be useful, but some people may be interested in some of the topics. Many info have been obtained from other documents on the web. Please look at the Credits section for references.
Public Patch: Frequently asked
questions or known bugs about the current public patch
Revision History: Just notes
about releases of patch, beta or public
RS3 General: A few very general
FAQs about RS3, in case you don't know.
About the translation: Interested
in how this translation is done and who has contributed?
Basic game instructions/manual:
Paraphrased from the original game manual; for first time player.
Playing hints: Minor spoilers,
mostly on gameplay technique instead of storyline.
Walkthrough: Details on
each quest; mostly on storyline and quests.
Endings:
Definitely SPOILERS; info on ending for each character (no time to write about
the techs and monsters that appear in the very end)
Others: Consists of in-depth details that I collected or
written for this game
Note: translation in some of these docs may be different from what I have in the game, but they should be close enough for a smart guy to figure out. :P
Documents on
GameFAQ: especially recommended are DShort's infomation guide,
formation guide and waza list. I tried to write these myself, but I didn't have
time and in fact DShort's guide is already very good. I think people can ignore
a few translation differences and get a whole lot of info from his docs. Other
people there also wrote nice FAQs which are worth a read.
Cheat and savestate hacking:
Game Genie codes, hex codes and info on how to modify the ZSNES savestate to
achieve a satisfaction of cheating; info from ThunderGod, Qing, and me.
The Secret: The 7 steps that
lead you to the "Eden" of the game. This is a bonus area added in the
patch to give you a surprise besides the translation.
Mini-game guide: contains info on the Ruling Game, War Game
and Business Game (suspended, no time :( )
